Handling & Training Class
Socialize, Train, Proof, Finishing Touches...

Training classes are divided into two sessions.

   There is a 6:30 -7:20 pm class and a 7:30- 8:20 pm class.

The scroll bars below have been adjusted to reflect this.

Masking and social distancing is required for everyone's health.

A reminder that training classes are not social events or gatherings.

They are two trainers with individual instruction and training sessions.

If there is a cancellation for any reason it will be posted

on this website prior to 5:00 pm.

This includes for dangerous weather conditions or power outage in Aldergrove.

Trainers/owners please book on our website in advance by paypal. You will find it when you scroll lower.

If you wish to pay cash advise us on the club email which class you wish to attend at lowermainlanddfbc@gmail.com. We will respond to your email if space is available and reserve a spot. FYI: If class fills the payment link is automatically removed.

Fee Changes: You can now purchase multiple classes at once on Paypal. This is for regular conformation, junior handlers and obedience drop in (proofing).

If you book multiple classes and cannot attend a class,
email us before Tuesday evening and advise us please.
We will attempt to forward your missed class to a future date if possible.
We will be practising social distancing as much as possible.
Instructors will wear masks and gloves and all attendees will wear masks.
People are expected to maintain distance as much as possible,
however we also know the instructor will examine the dogs as per usual.
FYI: A Junior Handler selection is only for those youth 18 years of age or younger.
It does not refer to the age of the dog, or the exhibitors experience.
If handlers have a "clingy" dog we ask they practise a lot before attending with strong verbal communication with the dog to maximize the distance between themselves and the instructor.

L.M.D.F. wishes to thank Cotonfield Dog Centre (Jacob Benaroch) for his support, patience and flexibility during these times.
2021 will be the first year without Diane Benaroch at the helm and we will miss her beauty, charm and caring attitude dearly.   ........ Please review for updates. This is really important especially with changes in Provincial legislation and inclement weather.  Any changes will be posted on this website. <............Check below for updates.....

Classes have experienced an increased popularity this year.  More than expected.  Thank-you.

However, with that comes some challenges, judging by the contacts made from those who were unable to attend classes.

Effective March 3, 2021 there will be a 6:30 pm class for 50 minutes and a 7:30 pm class for 50 minutes.  New Exhibitors, experienced Handlers, Juniors and Obedience Proofing.

6:30 pm The 6:30 pm to 7:20 pm class is open to all.

7:30 pm The 7:30 pm to 8:20 pm class is open to all.

6:00 pm Obedience Proofing has one time: 6:00 pm to 7:25 pm.  This is a shared environment with up to 7 people at one time.  There is no instructor for obedience proofing.

6:00 pm Junior Handlers This class is open to junior handlers (18 and under) from 6:00 pm to 6:45 pm.  The first 30 is juniors only. The last 15 are integrated with the regular class.

Conformation Instructors: Mrs Teresa Whitehead, Mr Wayne Davidson. Ms Edna St Hilaire is on hiatus for the next while.

Park in the front on either side of the lot.   There is room at the west side for obedience trainers and lots of room in the back south end. The west door is left open to make it convenient for you.  Please remember to leave lane-ways clear for the fire-lane.

The only dog exercise area is in the corral on the west side.

Please dispose of dog waste in the container provided.

Please respect the neighbours: no barking/whining dogs to be left in the car and
no exercising your dog off the property.
No loose dogs on property except in the Obedience ring.
Dress in layers, it is not heated.
The flooring is excellent for training.
A portable toilet is available.

F.Y.I. Tim Hortons and Paz Fuels is about a 4 minute drive south.
